Leatherleaf Viburnum

A large evergreen shrub displaying large leaves with a textured and corrugated surface.  It has multiple upright stems with lateral arching twigs and a good floral display. The flowers are followed by bright red berries which turn black with age.


Flowers:  Large, plentiful cymes (large collection of small flowers), creamy white in colour and pungent smell.

Fruit:  Little oval shaped fruit bright red in colour turning jet black with age.

Leaves:  Narrow, elliptical leathery leaves.  Very deeply wrinkled. Not to be confused with any other.
